Network News Looks Hollow Even to MTV Generation
- Share via
Last week, my teen-age daughter asked me if network news had always been the way it is now. And I answered that it used to be straightforward, thorough and with varied points of view.
Today I read Howard Rosenberg’s column on the “departure” of Bert Quint from CBS (“Reporter’s Love for CBS Long Extinguished,” Feb. 24). My generation knows how much has been taken away from TV news. But when the children of MTV consider network news empty news, then you have to believe CBS (and others) are dancing to the wrong tune.
