Three Veterans Added to Salsa’s Roster

FULLERTON — The Salsa soccer team announced Friday the signing of three veterans of international soccer heading into Sunday’s exhibition opener at Cal State Fullerton.

Two players signed have U.S. national team experience--defenders John Doyle, a member of the U.S. team at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, and Jeff Agoos.

Salvador Coreas, a veteran of the Salvadoran national team, agreed to terms for Sunday’s exhibition and will continue contract talks for full-time play next week.

The Salsa’s match against Mexican First Division Club America will kick off at 3 p.m. Sunday at Titan Stadium.
