Flags, Rainbow Design Wins Mural Contest

Miguel Ramos, a Los Angeles City College art student, won $1,000 in the Oneness of Humanity Mural Contest sponsored by the Baha’i Faith of Los Angeles.
Ramos did the design as a member of art Prof. Susan Lago’s drawing class. Lago had asked her students to come up with designs for the competition as a class project.
The mural of flags of the world on a rainbow background will be painted on the side of the Baha’i building at 5755 Rodeo Road, in South-Central Los Angeles. Ramos will supervise the painting, assisted by inner city children.
