Here is a look at upcoming community forums, debates and other events in the Los Angeles mayor’s race. It will run each Thursday through the April 20 primary. Warren Olney of radio station KCRW’s “Which Way L.A.” will moderate a forum with six mayoral candidates sponsored by the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Los Angeles). An in-depth discussion focusing on planning, urban design, environment, development and economic issues will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today, with a reception following at the Japan American Theater, 244 San Pedro St., Los Angeles.
“Meet the Candidates,” sponsored by the Central City Assn., begins at 11:30 a.m. today in the Concourse Ballroom of the Sheraton Grand Hotel, 333 S. Figueroa St. For more information, call (213) 624-1213.
The San Fernando Valley Business and Professional Assn. will hold an open forum at 7 p.m. Friday at the Sportsman’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Blvd., Studio City.
The Los Feliz Improvement Assn. will hold a forum at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum theater, 4700 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park. For more information, call (213) 243-7925.
