Smoking will no longer be permitted in seating areas and rest rooms at Dodger Stadium this season, the team announced Wednesday.
Smoking will be allowed in designated areas only, including the Stadium Club and club-level cafeteria.
“The decision to change the smoking policy at Dodger Stadium demonstrates our commitment to the comfort and health of our fans,” said Bob Smith, vice president of stadium operations.
The Dodgers become the sixth major league team to ban smoking in an open-air stadium, joining Baltimore, Detroit, Oakland, San Diego and Toronto.
