Running Behind: Only three days after the unveiling of its latest series, MTV said Thursday that the animated “Beavis and Butt-head” will be taken off the air for six weeks because production is behind schedule. The show, about two teen-age heavy-metal music fans, will run through next week, then will be off until May, the cable network said. A spokeswoman likened the production problems to those that beset the early going of other animated series such as “The Simpsons” and “Ren & Stimpy.”
