Paced by record-setting performances in the men’s pole vault, women’s 55 meters and women’s 1,600-meter relay, Abilene Christian won both the men’s and women’s divisions of the NCAA Division II indoor track championships at Vermillion, S.D.
Janet Hill threw the shot put a record 52 feet, 6.05 inches to help Cal State Los Angeles to third place in the women’s division competition with 28 points.
