Century City : Fox Decision Postponed
The Los Angeles Planning Commission has postponed until April 1 a decision on whether to give its blessing to Fox Studio’s planned $200-million expansion.
A spokeswoman for the commission said the commission staff asked for the delay to allow it more time to review the matter. The commission, which conducted a lengthy public hearing on the issue last month, had been expected to announce a decision today.
The studio, owned by media baron Rupert Murdoch, plans to add 771,000 square feet of office and production space on its 53-acre parcel in Century City. Opponents, including residents who live near the studio, say the project is too big and would generate too much traffic.
