MILHAUD: “Le Boeuf sur le toit”; “La Creation du monde”; Concerto for Harp. Orchestre de l’Opera de Lyon, conducted by Kent Nagano. Erato 2292-45820-2. Milhaud’s Concerto for Harp, Opus 323, turns out to be a little gem of a piece. Nagano leads meticulous and purposeful readings throughout, with an especially fine “Creation du monde”--crisp, clean, unexaggerated, poignant--the highlight.
