Geffen can’t for the life of him figure out why someone would want to serve one’s country, because anyone who lies about his college degree and then steals the documentation obviously hasn’t the moral discernment to recognize honor and service.
Moreover, had The Times been factually reporting, might it not have used more accurate language? How does one become a “legend” in any occupation by “intercepting” a letter--to me that is stealing. While reporters are not required or even expected to make moral judgments, what has happened to the requirement to use accurate language?
