Hikes for Tykes--The Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim is hosting a new series of nature hikes for preschool-age children and their parents.
The hikes encourage children to experience nature by using their senses. Each hike has a theme.
The next hikes and their themes will be:
* Wednesday--”Back-Yard Birds”
* April 7--”Paw, Paddle and Peddle”
* April 20--”Nature’s Paintbrush”
The center is at 6700 Walnut Canyon Road, Anaheim. To reach it, take the Riverside Freeway east to the Imperial Highway exit. Head south to Nohl Ranch Road. Turn left and go about three miles to Walnut Canyon Road, and turn left again. Pass the Anaheim Hills Golf Course; the nature center is at the end of the road. Parking is on the left.

Summer Program--The Oak Canyon Nature Center is accepting registration forms for its Indian Summer programs.
The seven weeklong sessions are open to children ages 4 to 10.
Activities during the sessions will include nature hikes, arts and crafts and games.

Young Audubons--South Coast Audubon, a chapter of the National Audubon Society, is hosting a Young Audubons program on Wednesday.
The topic of the program will be robins.
The program starts at 6 p.m. and is open to children ages 5 to 12. It will be held at the Boys and Girls Club at 1304 Calle Valle in San Clemente.
