Los Angeles School Reforms

I was pleased to note that you gave prominent coverage to this year’s Academic Decathlon state championship (March 15).
However, I was dismayed upon reading your listing of the noteworthy schools. You applaud Taft High School’s victory; you give credit to the schools finishing in second place and in third place, then you skip to fifth place. However, you fail to mention that another local school also finished quite well.
Your readers might want to know: Torrey Pines High School in Del Mar won fourth place in the state. Our community is quite proud of the performance of our Decathletes.
