Hail Batters Bangladesh

CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh — Giant hailstones, heavy winds and rain battered southeastern Bangladesh on Tuesday, injuring at least 50 people and making thousands homeless, officials said. The hailstones, some weighing over two pounds, fell nonstop during the storm, which lasted an hour and a half.
