Quance 2nd in National Meet

Kristine Quance of Northridge was unable to defend her title in the 200-meter breaststroke at the national swimming championships Thursday in Nashville, Tenn., fading in the final 15 meters to finish second to Olympian Anita Nall.
Quance was the top seed going into the race, but Nall rushed past her to win in 2 minutes 28.58 seconds. Quance clocked 2:29.72.
