Do Causes and Oscars Mix?

Thousands of our own people have AIDS and need help. Thousands of disabled and elderly can’t get what they need and suffer. Thousands are homeless. Our educational system is crumbling. African-Americans need help.
In short, we’re not taking care of our own people, so how can we even think of taking care of others?
