Two top Ventura County officials on Monday will discuss the state of the county budget and its effect on local businesses at a special meeting sponsored by Supervisor Vicky Howard at the East County Courthouse.
Business leaders from throughout the county’s 4th Supervisorial District, which includes Simi Valley and Moorpark, have been invited to attend the free meeting.
Chief Administrative Officer Richard Wittenberg and Budget Manager Bert Bigler will make presentations and answer questions. The meeting is one in a series examining ways to spark the stalled local economy, officials said.
Up to 40 business and community leaders attend the informal monthly sessions known as the Economic Vitality Council Roundtable, officials said. The meeting will be 3 to 5 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the courthouse.
