Starr Ranch Trip--South Coast Audubon, a chapter of the National Audubon Society, will host a bird walk trip to the Starr Ranch Audubon Sanctuary on Saturday.
The sanctuary is made up of a variety of habitats, including oak woodlands and chaparral. Warblers and hawks are among the birds to be seen at Starr Ranch.
Trip participants are asked to bring water and binoculars, as well as a lunch if they would like to stay and eat in the sanctuary after the trip.
A $5 donation is requested.
Participants should meet at 8 a.m. at the Lucky Market Center on Plano Trabuco Road at Santa Margarita Parkway. The group will be escorted into the sanctuary by trip leader Pete DeSimone.
For more information about the trip, contact Lillian Rostoker at (714) 830-7806.
