Why Stay? Because L.A. Is One of a Kind

I wept as I read “Why Stay in L.A.” The contributors captured eloquently the soul of L.A. and why, despite the recession, riots and departure of the Spruce Goose, there is nowhere else I would rather live.
To all the doomsayers and Seattle- and Midwest-bound negativists: Go, leave, goodby. When you wake up in your affordable suburban home in Des Moines and get that sinking feeling, remember you were forewarned.
Even during these difficult times, I feel fortunate to live in L.A., and I can’t imagine leaving. It was reassuring to discover that so many others share my sentiments.
