Contract Signed for Asia’s Biggest New Oil Field: A consortium of companies led by Australia’s BHP Petroleum signed contracts to exploit Vietnam’s Dai Hung (Big Bear) offshore oil field, the biggest undeveloped field in Asia. The contract calls for total investment of about $1.5 billion over more than 20 years.
