Independence One Bank of California: The Mission Viejo bank reported a 29% decline in earnings for the first quarter, to $1.7 million contrasted with $2.4 million for the same period last year. The bank attributed the decline to an increase in expenses resulting from the acquisition of First Collateral Services Inc. in April, 1992.
