GREEN FOR PEACE: The ribbons growing in strong numbers at local high schools are green. They’re part of a campaign against school violence begun by Karen Lott and her husband, Jeff, of Lake Forest, whose 16-year-old son Philip barely survived a drive-by shooting by other juveniles. “We want young people to know they have to be responsible for their actions,” says Jeff Lott. “This has got to stop.” . . . Karen Lott will speak at a Thursday night forum on violence at Huntington Beach High, where the ribbons are prevalent.
