Fisher Prize: Anne Akiko Meyers has won the Avery Fisher Career Grant--$10,000 to use as she wishes to support her career--this year, it was announced Wednesday in New York. The violinist, a San Diego native who will be 23 next month, will play the Barber Concerto with Carl St.Clair and the Pacific Symphony May 12 and 13 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
