Jesse Ibarra and Collin Heinds hit home runs to lead the Loyola Marymount baseball team to a 7-4 victory over Christ College Irvine on Wednesday at Loyola.
Ibarra’s two-run homer was his 12th of the season. Heinds’ solo homer was his second.
John Straits (1-2) earned the victory and Gary Sussman (1-6) was the loser.
The Lions (18-24) begin a three-game West Coast Conference series at Santa Clara on Friday.

The top-ranked UCLA volleyball team defeated Loyola, 15-5, 15-3, 15-7, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match at Gersten Pavilion.
Loyola (5-17, 4-14) will play host to No. 3 Pepperdine at 6 p.m. Sunday.
