Doby recorded victories in three events as Lynwood defeated Downey, 109-24, to clinch the San Gabriel Valley League title. She was first in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 16.92 seconds. She won the long jump with a leap of 16 feet 4 inches and won the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet 10 1/2 inches.
Other top performers:
* Jaliah Lewis, a sophomore softball player for Poly, hit two home runs, including a grand slam, in a 15-2 win over Moore League opponent Jordan.
* Susan Reince, a junior softball player for Millikan, was 4 for 4 at the plate as she helped her team defeat Poly, 9-2.
