Twelve people remained jailed on drug charges Saturday after 13 adults and a 16-year-old were arrested at two Oxnard motels, police said.
The arrests Friday came after an investigation that spanned several days and involved police from Oxnard and Ventura and Ventura County sheriff’s deputies, authorities said.
None of the suspects resisted arrest but several were caught throwing drugs out of windows of the two motels, Detective Roger Sonsini said.
The motels where the arrests occurred were the Oxnard Inn, 1156 S. Oxnard Blvd., and the Roseda Motel, 1155 Saviers Road, police said.
The charges among the suspects included possession for sale of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. A 22-year-old woman was arrested after her 1-year-old baby was found atop some rock cocaine, police said. She was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.
