FULLERTON — Cal State Fullerton made wrestling Coach Ardeshir Asgari’s temporary assignment permanent Wednesday, removing the “interim” tag from his title.
Asgari, who led Fullerton to a 6-4 dual-meet record and a 26th-place finish in the NCAA championships, has been involved with the Titan wrestling program for seven years as an athlete and coach. A two-time All-American, Asgari, 30, was named interim coach last season when Dan Lewis left for the Colorado School of Mines.
In other Titan news, Laura Hall has been named an assistant women’s basketball coach. Hall, 26, coached at Davis High School last year and an assistant at Sacramento City College for two years.
