AST Research Names New VP

Richard Diamond has been appointed vice president of information services for AST Research Inc. in Irvine. In his new position, he is responsible for planning, implementing and operating global information systems and services that support the computer company’s worldwide operations. Diamond was formerly managing director of worldwide information systems at Applied Materials, an equipment supplier to semiconductor manufacturers. Earlier, he was director of management information systems for Verbatim Corp. and also worked at IBM, Shell Oil, Bradford Computer & Systems and Glenmore Distilleries.
* Marcie Fauske has been appointed employment manager at the Anaheim Hilton and Towers. She joined the hotel in 1992 as a Hilton corporate management trainee and was promoted to benefits and employee relations manager in January.
* Ronald J. Keith and Gerald O. Yahr have been appointed senior vice presidents of Koll Real Estate Group in Newport Beach. Both were formerly vice presidents of development. They will manage development and real estate services in Orange, Riverside, San Diego and Imperial counties.
* Douglas K. Ammerman and Philip R. Schimmel have been appointed partners-in-charge in the Costa Mesa office of KPMG Peat Marwick. Ammerman will head the special markets practice, which includes personal financial planning, high net worth individuals and individual tax, energy and education and other institutions. Schimmel will head the health care and life sciences practice.
