Man Arrested on Credit Card Charges

A Los Angeles County man was arrested on suspicion of grand theft after he allegedly received a refund from a Moorpark store for stereo equipment that he told his credit card company he did not buy, authorities said Tuesday.
Larry Danner, 48, of West Hills was arrested Monday in connection with the May 12 incident at Precision Audio in Moorpark, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Marty Rouse.
According to Rouse, Danner cashed a refund check for $2,200 worth of stereo equipment he purchased with a credit card, and then fraudulently convinced the credit card company that he had made no such purchase.
The credit card company voided the sale at Danner’s request and failed to reimburse the store for the refund check, Rouse said.
