Security Environmental Systems Inc.: The Huntington Beach hazardous waste transport company said its fiscal first-quarter profit rose to $575,255, or 17 cents a share. Profit for last year’s first quarter was $40,032, or 1 cent a share, which included a loss of $60,513 from discontinued operations that Security Environmental sold in the fourth quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 more than doubled, to $3.6 million from $1.5 million.
