Perspective Is Key to Neighborhood Harmony, Security
- Share via
How tiresome it is to be constantly bombarded by articles by people like Teresa Yunker (“The Quiet Bias,” Oct. 31) whose paranoia about her racial identity drives her to write about her problems adapting to her neighborhood just so she can wave a white flag.
Americans must grow up and put things in perspective.
America doesn’t mean white. Rights are not free, but go hand in hand with willingness to accept responsibility. America is a continent wherein reside people from all nations and races. The majority speak Spanish, which is a beautiful language well worth learning.
Only when people are ready to stand up and be counted as members of a most imperfect human race will we ever begin to solve some of the problems that prevent us all from living in harmony and security.
