Trabuco Hills Rolls to Victory Over Temple City

TEMPLE CITY — Trabuco Hills scored 28 points in the first half and rolled to a 35-7 victory over Temple City in a Division VIII game Friday.
Trabuco Hills advances to play Bellflower Friday night in the quarterfinals.
Trabuco Hills (8-3) took the opening kickoff and drove 76 yards in 12 plays. The Mustangs went ahead, 7-0, on quarterback J.C. Pintsak’s three-yard scoring run.
Following a punt by Temple City, Trabuco Hills struck again, this time on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Pintsak to wide receiver Devin Martin. The score put Trabuco Hills ahead, 14-0, with 47 seconds left in the first half.
In the second quarter, Jake Galasso took over. He scored on runs of 38 and two yards and Trabuco Hills led, 28-0, at the half. Galasso, who started the season at quarterback, had rushed for 100 yards by halftime and finished with 126 yards in 23 carries.
Pintsak, making only his third start of the season, completed 15 of 22 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown.
The Trabuco Hills defense sacked Temple City quarterback Eric Britton five times for minus-38 yards. The Mustangs’ Matt Rechner caught five passes for 74 yards and also had an interception.
