Nona Morelli’s Posts First-Quarter Loss

Nona Morelli’s II Inc., the Irvine pasta maker, said it lost $2.5 million, or 6 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter, compared with a loss of $586,072, or 13 cents a share, a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 fell 3%, to $612,583 from $634,213.
The company said the results reflect a 75% increase in general and administrative expenses, associated mostly with the company’s move to California and its attempt to enter gaming markets in Colorado and Mississippi.
