California Home Resales Rise: Home resales in the state climbed 2.7% in November from October and were up 6% from a year earlier, bucking the traditional end-of-the-year slowdown, the California Assn. of Realtors said. Sales in November were made at a 476,770 annual rate, the fastest pace in nearly a year. Low mortgage rates and softer prices fueled sales. The median price of a home stood at $184,390 last month, down 1% from October and off 4.7% from a year ago.
