TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — On Christmas morning, Johnnie Mosley handed her husband, Charles, a Christmas gift with the words: “This is the best I can do this year. I love you.”
It was a winning $15.7-million lottery ticket.
“I didn’t put it under the tree,” Johnnie Mosley told lottery officials Monday when she and her family turned in the winning ticket for the Sept. 4 Lotto jackpot.
She had kept the ticket in a safety deposit box along with a collection of newspaper clippings detailing a search for the winner.
The Mosleys will receive $789,000 annually for 20 years.
