Tandy Corp. to Open Stores, Add 3,600 to Work Force: The nation’s largest electronics retailer said the growth strategy it began following last year will pay off in jobs for more than 3,600 people in 1994. Chairman and Chief Executive John Roach said in a statement that the company will open 24 Computer City stores and six Incredible Universe stores this year. Two of the warehouse-size Incredible Universe stores will be in Miami and Tempe, Ariz.; the other four locations have not been disclosed.
