Henry (Hank) Michael Naczas Jr., 42, activist for peace, civil rights and AIDS awareness. A native of Beverly, Mass., Naczas earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the universities of Massachusetts and Wisconsin, respectively, and made his career as a settlement officer with the Internal Revenue Service. Naczas served as treasurer of the Stonewall and West Hollywood Democratic clubs, campaigned for West Hollywood cityhood and for the election of gay rights members to its City Council, and participated in the gay rights marches in Sacramento in 1991 and Washington in 1993. On Dec. 20 in Los Angeles of AIDS.
