Woman’s Death May Be Linked to Other Killings

The slaying of a woman whose body was discovered in an Ontario park is being investigated for links to three other killings in which the bodies of black women in their 30s were dumped in the East San Gabriel Valley.
The Ontario victim, whose name was not released, was discovered fully clothed in San Antonio Park at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Ontario police said Thursday.
Pomona police, who are investigating the other cases, said a preliminary investigation suggests that the slaying is probably unrelated to the other three. But investigators will wait for the San Bernardino County coroner’s office to fix the cause of death before ruling out a link, Pomona Police Lt. Leon Sakamoto said.
The other victims were Helen Hill, 36, of Covina; Donna Goldsmith, 35, of Montclair, and Cheryl Denise Sayers, 34, of Pomona.
