German Man Jailed for Beating Turk to Death

BERLIN — A 25-year-old German who beat a young Turkish man with a baseball bat so badly the victim later died was jailed Friday for three years and nine months.
A panel of judges convicted Michael Schuchlinksi of inflicting severe injury resulting in death, a lesser charge than murder, but said it saw no neo-Nazi or racist links to the killing.
