Would-be dudes in search of the right ranch will want to mosey through “The Dude Rancher,” a 32-page directory of the 111 members of the Dude Ranchers’ Assn.
The ranches, which are spread through 11 states (mostly in the Rocky Mountains), generally are open from May or June through the fall. Southwestern ranches are open November-May. Weekly rates range from $660 to $1,450 per adult, depending on accommodations, meals and program.
