* Jim Orefice has been appointed chairman of the board of directors and chief executive of Urethane Technologies Inc., a Santa Ana developer of polyurethane systems and production technology. He will also continue as chief operating officer. Orefice succeeds Terren Peizer, who is stepping down as chairman. Before joining the company as chief operating officer in 1993, Orefice worked at Arco Chemical Co., most recently as business manager-Asia Pacific. Before that, he worked for Mobay Chemical Corp., now Miles Inc., in various management positions, including research, technical services and marketing.
