One That Got Away

As a former longtime resident of San Diego and a fish taco devotee, I read with great interest your article entitled “Scaling Back” (Jan. 16). However, I feel compelled to point out that the article neglected to mention what are arguably the best fish tacos in San Diego, if not the world. These fish tacos can be found at the Brigantine chain of restaurants.
My favorite Brigantine is the one in Old Town, which also has a great Sunday night happy hour, when you can get both a fish taco and an excellent margarita for $3.25. Until I moved to Monterey (where I have yet to find a good fish taco), the Brigantine Sunday night happy hour was a regular meeting place for myself, my friends and our out-of-town visitors.
