MOSCOW — Two Russian nuclear submarines grazed each other during an exercise in the northern Barents Sea without causing damage or casualties, the Russian navy said Thursday.
Both boats returned to base after the accident Wednesday, the navy’s press service said in a short statement.
The ITAR-Tass news agency said the two submarines had nuclear weapons aboard. The navy said the submarines, along with their weapons, sustained no damage and there were no radiation leaks.
