Jean Carmet, 73, one of France’s most beloved movie stars, whose “Black and White in Color” won a 1976 Academy Award for best foreign film. Carmet also won three Cesars, France’s Oscars, for best supporting actor in “Les Miserables” in 1982 and “Merci la Vie (Thank You, Life)” in 1992, and for his lifetime work in 1993. In Paris on Wednesday of apparent heart failure.
