Taxi Systems Files for Chapter 11: President Mitchell Rouse said the Gardena-based company, which is a shareholder in several Los Angeles-area taxi companies, sought Bankruptcy Court protection from creditors following several bodily injury lawsuits filed against the company by motorists. Taxi Systems is part-owner of LA Taxi and Southbay Co-Op and operates Long Beach Yellow Cabs. Rouse said the taxi companies will continue to operate while Taxi Systems reorganizes.
