A fire triggered when flammable material was stored close to a water heater caused $180,000 damage and left a home a total loss, fire officials said Sunday.
Some 20 firefighters fought the Saturday night blaze for half an hour before putting it out, but by that time the house was “a total loss,’ Fire Capt. Craig Campbell said.
No one was injured during the fire. The Red Cross provided shelter, food and clothing for the displaced family of seven, fire officials said.
