Swingfest, a six-piece orchestra, will re-create the sounds of 1940s jazz music for the second “Music Under the Stars” summer concert Saturday.
The concert will be held at the Mission San Juan Capistrano’s center courtyard from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children 12 and under. Admission fees will be used to help preserve the mission, a 217-year-old landmark.
Swingfest will play renditions of the music of the Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller orchestras. There will be a large dance floor.
Dinner entrees will be available at the concert for $3 per plate, or guests may bring food for a picnic dinner.
