Grants Available for Nonprofit Programs

LAGUNA NIGUEL — The city is encouraging social service organizations and cultural programs to apply for some $20,000 in city grants.
Nonprofit organizations such as youth shelters and homeless-assistance groups addressing social needs can apply for a total of $10,160 to be awarded in the next fiscal year.
Grants totaling $10,000 will be given to arts and cultural programs like nonprofit theater groups and library programs.
Applications must be received at Laguna Niguel City Hall, 27801 La Paz Road, by Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. The City Council will choose the organizations to receive the awards. Last year the grants ranged from $500 to $6,500.
