Woodland Hills Tigers Advance to Final

The Woodland Hills Tigers defeated the Norwalk Rebels, 7-4, at Downey High on Saturday to advance to the final of the Stan Musial regional tournament.
The Tigers (34-9), composed of college and semipro players, would advance to the state tournament with a victory today.
Mike Jenkins (6-0), formerly of Simi Valley High, went six innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs.
The Tigers trailed, 3-0, before scoring six runs in the third inning. Two-run doubles by Brent Christenson, a Brigham Young player formerly of Thousand Oaks High, and Paul Blair Jr. highlighted the inning.
