Opening Day--Salute to Rosamond and Tehachapi
“Cowboy Boots and Country Roots” is the theme of this year’s Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival opening today at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, 155 E. Ave. I, Lancaster. Hours are 3 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays, noon to 1 a.m. Saturdays and noon to midnight Sundays. Fair hours on closing day, Sept. 5, are noon to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and senior citizens 65 and over. Admission is free for children under 6.
