College Adds Classes to Meet Student Need

Valley College has added classes to meet student need for general education, college officials announced.
More than 15,000 students are attending the Van Nuys community college for the fall semester, which began Monday.
Because of heavier enrollment than expected, the college is adding English 101, English 28, Speech 101, Biology 3, Math 115, Math 105, Math 225, Psychology 1, Chicano Studies 8, Chicano Studies 44, Computer Science 801, Computer Science 385, Child Development II, Music 101 and Political Science 385.
The college will also add a number of short-term classes.
